zuko + katara’s relationship throughout book three
Zuko + his dragon.
I was asked to upload the clip of Korra mentioning Mako and somehow someway I had managed to save it on my PS4. I had to fucking pause the game after she said it because I was laughing so hard.
I just can’t get over the fact that this is the very first time the three of them recorded together and it just makes me so happy listening to it.
I was so psyched that they showed us this :’DD
This was just so freaking cute they are perfect
when I see this new title for the 5th episode
ISN’T EP. 4 THE ONE THAT MADE AN ANIMATOR CRY? WE’RE FUCKED. SO FUCKED.
Just like they foreshadowed Kuvira’s rise to power and the outdatedness of the monarchy in Book 3 (“the world is changing, she can change with it, step aside” from Suyin) I think they also foreshadowed one of the central conflicts of Book 4.
Hou-Ting: So, I finally get a visit from the Avatar. Let me guess, you want something.
Korra: Well, actually Your Majesty, I was hoping you could—
Hou-Ting: I hardly think you’re in a position to ask me for favors after everything the last Avatar did to the Earth Kingdom. He and Fire Lord Zuko took advantage of my father’s weakness and stole our lands to make their own little empire. The United Republic is Earth Kingdom territory!
Korra: Well, I uh, I’m not sure what I can do about that.
In the comics, like the Earth Queen said, Aang and Zuko took the land that was once the Fire Nation colonies in the Earth Kingdom and formed a new nation, the United Republic of Nations.
We’ve seen from the trailer that Kuvira and Korra will be facing off at Zaofu and Kuvira further reinforced that with her conversation with Suyin in The Coronation. But where do they go from there?
We know that by episode 7 Korra will be in her new outfit, back in Republic City with Team Avatar once again. So why did they return?
After uniting the Earth Kingdom, it’s only natural that Kuvira’s next logical target will be the United Republic of Nations and Republic City. The new “Earth Empire” will try to take back the land that once belonged to them, resulting in a battle for Republic City. Varrick is developing some sort of devious technology to harness the spirit vines that run all over the city, too, presumably for some sort of battle advantage—taking control of the city from the inside. It would be absolutely genius on Bryke’s part, because that means that Book 4 will go full circle, back to the beginnings of Korra in Republic City.
